We started EKON TRAVEL because of a pair of jeans.

Not the good kind of story. A friend went down at maybe 25 mph on a back road outside town. Nothing dramatic, just gravel and bad luck. The jeans he was wearing lasted about a second and a half. He spent the next three weeks getting his leg scrubbed out at a clinic twice a week.

He wasn't a reckless guy. He'd been riding for thirty years. He just didn't want to wear the gear that was out there.

And honestly, we understood why. Because we'd looked at the same stuff he had. Riding pants built for a 25 year old on a sportbike, cut so tight you can't get your boots through the leg. Race armor that turns into a sauna the second you stop at a light. Or the other extreme, some baggy textile thing that makes you look like you're going ice fishing.

Nothing made for a guy in his sixties on a cruiser who just wants to ride to the coast on a Saturday and not come home shredded if something goes wrong.

So we stopped waiting for someone else to build it.

We spent a long time on this. Longer than we planned. We went after real abrasion protection first, because anything less felt like a compromise we didn't want to explain to anyone. Then we spent just as long on the part nobody talks about. The fit. Room in the seat, room in the thigh, a waistband that works on a real body and not a mannequin. Vents where you actually sweat.

We put them on ourselves first. Then on riders in their fifties, sixties, seventies who told us exactly what was wrong with them. Some of that feedback stung. All of it made the product better.

How We Operate

We sell directly to riders through our website. You order, we ship it to your door. No dealer markup, no middleman taking a cut for putting a box on a shelf.

We ship to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

We're a small operation. If something goes wrong with your order, you're not stuck in a phone tree with a call center on the other side of the world. You're talking to the people who packed the box.

Who This Is For

We're not trying to build gear for everyone.

We make protective riding pants for guys who've been riding a long time, mostly on cruisers and baggers, who want real protection without dressing like a MotoGP rider or roasting in traffic. That's the rider we design for. That's who we ask for feedback. That's whose knees and hips we're trying to keep intact.

If you've tried riding pants before and hated them, we get it. Most of us did too. That's the whole reason this exists.

Order a pair. Put them on. If they don't fit right or they're not what you expected, tell us and we'll make it right. We read every message that comes in, and there's no chatbot standing between you and us.
